Fort Portal: Two More Kids Kidnapped Shortly After Rescue  

Two children have reportedly been kidnapped hardly a day after a 3-year-old boy Reagan Makune was rescued from kidnappers who were paid Shs 6m by his family.

The two siblings Rogers Asiimwe aged 9 and Gloria Musimenta aged 7 were abducted on their way from school on Thursday afternoon 22nd November, 2018.

The children belong to Mr. Francis Asiimwe of Nyansozi, Mugusu Town Council, and Kabarole district.

Asiimwe says the children were kidnaped as they walked to Nyansozi primary school.

The matter has been reported to Mugusu police.

But when we contacted the District Police Commander Mr.Musa Tibakirana, he said he had not received any complaint about the missing children.

In the earlier kidnap, 3 year old Reagan Makune was taken by unknown people in Kiculeta cell, Fort portal.

The boy was kidnapped on Monday evening from his parents’ rental room in Kiculeta when his mother left him in the house.


The kidnappers reportedly left behind a note indicating the telephone contacts for the parents to call on to get their son.

Solomon Mugisa the Community Liaison Officer Fort Portal Police station has echoed his message calling on the parents to be vigilant and closely monitor their children

According to Mugisa, the kidnap of these two kids brings the number to five in less than a month.

An 8-year-old child recently kidnapped from Nyabukara was found killed, and body wrapped in a polythene bag and dumped on the banks of River Mpanga.

Another 2-year-old kidnapped from Maguru was found dumped near Kyebambe Model Primary school with two teeth removed.
