Retired Supreme Court Justice, George Wilson Nattubu Tsekooko, has passed away.
The death of the former judge in the country’s highest court was announced the Judiciary.
Tsekooko is said to have passed away on Monday at Norvik Hospital in Kampala, where he was admitted.
The cause of death was yet to be deluged, as the judiciary promised to put out more information later.
Justice Wilson Tsekooko retired in October 2015 after serving as a justice of the Supreme Court.
He would later work as a senior legal consultant with Waluku and Mooli Advocates, a law firm in Kampala.
In 2001 and 2006 elections when Dr Kizza Besigye challenged President Museveni’s victory in the Supreme Court, Tsekooko was among the minority judges who ruled that the election be annulled.
