
Veteran journalist and former Lyantonde Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Tiguragara Matojo Salongo has died.
Matojo reportedly passed away at Mulago National Referral Hospital on Tuesday.
There were unconfirmed reports that he succumbed to Covid19.
At the time of his death Matojo was working with the Mbarara based Crooze Fm.

The deceased became a household nameas he was among the founders of the Radio West, the first fm radio in south western Uganda, before he was appointed the RDC of Lyantonde district.
He was also Coordinator NRM Journalists Network and the spokesperson of the Ankole Cultural Trust.
Matojo started his media career in the 1990s working with the national broadcaster, UBC, known back then as Radipo Uganda.
