Former Minister Peter Otai’s Body Arrives from UK, To Be Buried On Saturday

The body of former Ugandan State Minister for Defense in the Obote II Government, Peter Otai arrived yesterday Entebbe International Airport.

Otai died in the United Kingdom (UK) on 2nd January 2020.

The body will later today be airlifted from Kololo airstrip to his ancestral home in Oderai village, Soroti district.

The Uganda People’s Congress party (UPC) Head of media and Communications Faizo Muzeyi told Chimpreports that there will be a funeral service at St Peter’s Cathedral Soroti on Friday 31st and burial will take place on Saturday.

“The burial will take place on Saturday 1st February 2020 at Oderai village.”

“The party is in touch with the family so that the late comrade Peter Otai is given a befitting send off in honor of his contribution to both the development of UPC and nation at large,” said Muzeyi.

Otai was born on 8th May 1940 to late Titus Lloot and Bessi Asano of Oderai village, Soroti sub county in Soroti district.
