Former Minster of Public Service Henry Muganwa Kajura who over the past weeks has been fighting to save his house from a money lender, is in fresh trouble as two other people have now dragged him to court seeking compensation of up to 600 million shillings for bleach of a land sales agreement
Professor Lee MP Koma and Mrs Bona Asio Koma, both residents of Komamboga in Wakiso district told High Court’s civil division that they jointly bought land from the former Minster but he didn’t fulfil the terms in the agreement which caused them losses.
According to documents before court, the duo on 30th September 2018 entered into an agreement with Kajura to sell them 982 hectares of his land located at Buyanda Masindi district at a cost of 1,150,000,000 shillings
They had agreed to pay him an instalment of 600 million shillings and start using the vacant piece of land as they await to pay the remaining 550 million shillings in two months.
Kajura however changed his mind and promised to refund theur money by the first week of January 2019, which he hasn’t done to this date.
The plaintiffs therefore asked court to order Hon Kajura to refund their Shs. 600Million, to be paid with an interest of 30% per annum from the date the money was received on 30/07/2018 until full payment
For the past few weeks, Kajura has been battling one Abdul Ssali who wants to take over his ancestral and country home for failure to pay back 500 million shillings he lent him during the 2015 campaigns
The land title for this land which measures 50 acres is said to be in Ssali’s custody.
