Former Bul FC captain Herbert Kakande has returned to Kakindu stadium for a short term deal with Jinja Municipal Hippos.
Kakande served more than three seasons at BUL FC but was unceremoniously axed at the end of 2014/15 season with three other players under unclear circumstances.
The deadlocked midfielder crossed to rivals Jinja Municipal Hippos who incidentally share Kakindu stadium with Bul FC. He played till mid-season before crossing the border to Kenya premier league side Kakamega Homeboys.
He found play time hard to come by at the Kenyan side and the situation devolved to a frosty relation between the player and the top club administrators.

“We welcomed him back to the club since he is one of us. He will be a great addition and a team leader.”
JMC Hippos assistant coach James Odoch hailed Kakande’s decision to return and help the club terming him ‘an exemplary leader’ to initiate the new members of the team.
An excited Kakande revealed to ChimpSport that he will be staying at JMC at least up to December.
“It’s good to be home, thumb Kakindu is my home. I will help the team in whatever way I can though I plan to be here until mid-season before I head out of the country though I can’t reveal where to as per now, dosage ” Kakande said.
Kakande made over ten appearances for JMC in the first leg scoring one goal.
JMC finished the league on the 10th place with 38 points from the mandatory 30 games.
They will be playing their second season in the topflight since earning promotion in the 2014/15 Big league season.
