JMC Hippos junior team closed their second round games with a hard fought win over bottom placed Bright Stars on Sunday at Kakindu stadium.
Joseph Mpanguzi wasted a 30th minute penalty sending it to the stands with the goalkeeper well beaten. He had earlier been brought down in the box.
The match started minutes later than initially planned after a commotion ensued when Bright Stars could not present proper documentation for their newly signed midfielder Rajab Ssempebwa.
The first half ended goalless. The second produced more sparkles with both sides attacking but it was until the 62nd when JMC skipper Nicholas Tamale finally opened the game with a ferocious shot from inside the box after his initial shot rattled the top bar.
