FJL: Defending Champions Soana SA Begin Title Defence With Victory

Fufa Juniors league defending champions Soana Soccer Academy began the campaign to defend the title on an impressive.

Soana put up an incredible performance to edge Villa Jogoo junior team 2-1 away at Villa park, Nsambya on Sunday.

Lanky forward Ddamulira Hakim started from where he stopped last season scoring one and the otherJuniorsrom Khalid Kasajja.

SC Villa got one back through talented midfielder Abdallah Salim who was recently promoted to the senior team but his effort could only serve as a consolation on the day.

Last season’s runners up KCCA soccer academy, began the campaign on a rather note with Police armless brigade holding them to a one all draw at Startimes stadium.

Derrick Kakooza scored for the junior cops while Ibrahim Lubwama netted for KCCA soccer academy as the two sides shared spoils.

KCCA will return to action on Tuesday in a mid afternoon clash against Onduparaka junior team that eased past Maroons on Saturday.

In the other game played on Sunday, UPDF junior team earned a 2-1 away win against Kirinya Jinja SS.

Aaron Stuart Mutebi was the star of the game as his brace sunk the Jinja side despite Ashraf Kawasi pulling one back for the home side.
