Local rapper Shafik Walukagga Commonly known as Fik Fameica has been making rounds in the news recently after a Tanzanian artist Chin Bees accusing him of reproducing his ‘Pepeta’ song with ‘Mafia.’
Chin Bees through his law firm KTA Advocates issued a letter of intention to sue the singer and his management on grounds of copyright infringement.
Fik Fameica while appearing for an interview on NBS Television a head of his ‘my journey concert’ slated for December 14, defended himself saying that he only jumps onto tracks made by his producers though he admitted that most trap instrumentals sound alike.
Later on as the interview continued, Fameica confessed that Chin Bees contacted him via social media about the same song but they have become good friends and are to record a collaboration soon.
The ‘Kutama’ truck maker believes that it’s his remix of the song with South Africa’s rapper Casper Nyovest that sparked the feud once again since Chin Bees demanded to feature on the remix yet the rapper was not interested in.
