FIFA U17 WWCQ: Coach Khalifa Names 30-man Provisional Squad for Cameroon

Uganda U17 Women’s National team coach Ayub Khalifah Kiyingi has named a 30-man provisional squad that will start preparations for their FIFA U17 Women’s Wold Cup qualifier doubleheader against Cameroon.

The summoned squad is dominated by players that featured in the previous qualifying games against Ethiopia and Tanzania.

Coach Khalifa also included new faces in goalkeeper Gift Nasasira from Maroons WFC, Winnifred Kwatulira – Jinja United FC, Devine Mirembe – Asubo Gafford Ladies FC and Kamuyati Naigaga among others.

The team will enter a residential camp on Monday at Cranes Paradise Hotel, Kisaasi after undergoing the mandatory tests for COVID-19 as guided by the Government.

Uganda will play against Cameroon in the final qualifying round with the first game scheduled for 31st October in Kampala before the return leg which will come two weeks later.
