Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), has threatened to take stringent action against MP Prof Ogenga Latigo for continuously undermining the party.
John Kikonyogo, the party spokesperson told press today that while Latigo is free to associate with any other political party, he mustn’t forget it it’s because of FDC that he is in parliament.
“We cannot hold someone into servitude; it is against the constitution of Uganda. If someone believes he can perform better in ANT, no problem”, Kikonyogo said.
“However, it is hypocritical of Latigo to go criticizing FDC without returning our party card.”
“He is in the African parliament because of the FDC ticket. I don’t think it is prudent, proper and fair to continue attacking your party when you are still clinging on that position and a member of FDC”, Kikonyogo adds
As of now, Kikonyogo says this disciplinary matter will be handled by Hon. Betty Aol Ochan the leader of opposition and Hon. Ibrahim Semujju the opposition chief whip.
According to reports, Hon. Latigo the Agago North MP is said to be harboring interests of joining Gen. Mugisha Muntu’s Alliance for National Transformation (ANT).
