FBL: Diarra Splits Busia to Set Stage for Onduparaka Duel

Dickens ‘Diarra’ Okwi was at his destructive best as his sensational hat-trick crashed Busia Fisheries to set up a ‘grand finale’ against Onduparaka on Saturday at the green light.

Sporting came into this game in search of an outright win with a massive goal difference to set stage for the ‘winner takes all’ clash.

Coach Dan Ogwal’s boys did not disappoint as they went up 3-0 in the first half with a brace from Okwi and Bongo’s addition. The former Ngora striker then completed his hattrick in the second half.

The victory means that a win of any margin on Saturday guarantees the team a direct spot to the 2016-17 premier league season.

In the other games played, try  Citizen FC lost 3-0 to Synergy in Masaka. The Citizens will feature in the third division/regional league next season.

Hope Doves left Wakiso United’s hopes of survival in balance with a 1-0 win. The coach Farida Bulega’s side will now pray for Jinja SS not to lose to Wandegeya on Saturday.

The last games of the regular season will wrap up on Saturday with 11 games lined up.
