For decades now, Ugandan female celebrities have been known to hide their real age while some are always getting younger each passing year.
Some like Desire Luzinda have been 25 for as long as we can remember.
Last weekend Team No Sleep singer Sheebah Karungi celebrated her birthday revealing she was turning 29.
The ‘Wankoona’ singer took to social media advising her fans and followers to take their time and work hard so as to create their own paths.
“By the age of 15, I knew I had to cut my own way. I am now 29 do your math. Rome wasn’t built in one day. Run your race at your own pace,” she posted.
This post caught the attention of a one Currency who believes the singer is lying about being 29 and is in her 40’s by commenting, “Sheeba you are not 29.”
The fan went on to elaborate his point writing, “I am 23 and I first say you back in 2006 when I was 10 years old. You are in your late 30’s or early 40’s. Why do people in Uganda hide their age?”
Despite ignoring most of her fans comments, Sheebah couldn’t let Currency’s comments go and she responded, “Poor thing, truth will always be truth regardless if he lack of understanding, disbelief or ignorance. Anyways fell free to top up whatever,” Sheebah responded to Currency’s comments with laughing emojis.
Sheebah is preparing for her upcoming ‘Omwooyo’ concert scheduled for November 30 at Hotel Africana.
