The family and close friends of the late singer real name Moses Nakintije Ssekibogo alias Mowzey Radio, of the former musical dynamic duo Radio and Weasel, over the weekend celebrated his 36th birthday.
The celebration was attended by the Mayanja family led by Weasel, the late’s singing partner, Chameleon and Pallaso among others. Other celebrities who graced the celebrations included Alex Muhangi and King Saha.
Held at EXO lounge, the night was dedicated to Mowzey as the Djs played only his songs all night long to appreciate his talent and art.
His songs were also being played in most of the Kampala hangout spots in honor of the celebrated singer.
Singers Weasel and Chameleon performed at the event before paving way for those in attendance to party the night away.
Mowzey Radio died on February 1, 2018, at Case Hospital, Kampala, a week after he sustained injuries in a bar brawl in Entebbe. However, the memory of his life and career is still fresh in the minds of many Ugandans.
On February 1, Mowzey’s family will open his burial place to the public to mark two years after the celebrated music icon passed on.
The family has also developed the burial place into a tourist attraction of its kind with permanent features, including his various pictures framed in glass on the walls of the mausoleum and his tombstone is expected to have some of his hit song names written on it.
