Fabiola at 23: From a Beauty Queen to a Continental Media Personality

Anita Kyarimpa better known as Fabiola is making 23 today (June 7 2017).

Her story is that of a determined girl willing to break any possible barriers on her to the top.

Born in 1994, Fabiola is undeniably one of the most stylish, best-selling Ugandan acts to the world.

Her popularity in areas like West Africa surpasses that of established musicians who have been in the industry for longer than she has existed on earth.

Fabiola started her journey as a glamor girl at Arapapa modelling agency at the age of 12.

She attended St. Francis primary school, London College St. Lawrence for both “O” and “A” levels.

In 2013, Fabiola scooped the Miss Uganda west crown and an automatic spot in that year’s Miss Uganda pageant.

She was also named 1st runner up and Miss Photogenic in that year’s competition.

She later joined Makerere University for a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication.

Her school life at campus turned to be reportedly turbulent academic wise due to her tight schedule and concurrent responsibilities.

Fabiola, due to her established network, got a job at the Serena based NTV where she served as presenter for “Be My Date”.

Her stay was however terminated when her private photos leaked to the media.

Management cancelled her contract, on moral grounds.

That however, didn’t dim her shine.

She got a temporary stint at the Kisementi based Capital FM where she served a sit-in presenter.

Using her continental network, Fabiola made a name for herself in the West Africa, where she has hosted various award ceremonies including the Africa Magic Viewer’s choice awards.

Currently, Fabiola is signed to Talent Africa, and a brand ambassador for Luc Belaire.
