Six time Uganda Premier League winners, Express Football Club has unveiled Daniel Kiwanuka as their goalkeeping coach for the next two seasons.
The 45 year old coach joins from KCCA FC and cited his need to face new challenges as the main reason for his move to the Red Eagles.
“Express FC is one of the historical clubs in Uganda but most importantly, am here because i want a new challenge. I have achieved everything there’s to win in the Ugandan football league hence the need to seek for a new challenge,” Kiwanuka told the Express website.
He replaces Sam Kawalya who recently stepped down from his role due to health concerns on the advice of doctors.
“Coach Kiwa” brings vast experience to the team’s technical bench, having groomed several goalkeepers such as Cranes custodians Benjamin Ochan and Charles Lukwago.
He has in the past coached Diary FC, UMEME FC, Simba FC and Maji FC, Uganda Kobs (U17) and the Uganda Hippos (U-20).
The club’s technical bench comprises of Wasswa Bossa (Head Coach), James Odoch (Assistant Coach), Daniel Kiwanuka (Goalkeeping Coach), Hassan Mubiru (Fitness Coach), Helen Buteme, (Strength & Conditioning) and Ainebyona Lewis (Performance Analyst)
