Six-time Uganda Premier League champions Express Football Club have officially unveiled Uganda Hippos (U-20) goalkeeper Dennis Otim as their new signing.
Otim joins the Red Eagles on a four-year deal and will stay at the Mutesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku until the end of the 2023/ 2024 season.
“I have joined the Red Eagles because it’s a big club in the country and I expect to use it as a springboard to further my career,” Otim told the club website.
Last season, Otim featured for Western based team Nyamityobora Football Club. He also had stints with Mbarara Football Club in the Regional League.
He joins goalkeeper Cryspus Kusiima who recently signed a two-year contract with the Eagles and both will compete with Mathias Muwanga for the starting slot in goal.
Wasswa Bbosa’s side is also expected to unveil Mahad Kakooza, Charles Musiige and Abel Eturude in the coming days having reportedly agreed terms with the club.
Also, Uganda Cranes defender Murushid Juuko, Enock Walusimbi, Steven Luswata, Faisal Ssekyanzi and Saddam Juma are other players expected to feature for the “Mukwano Gw’abangi” side come next season.
