Express Football Club earned their maiden home win in the Uganda Premier League under the reign of George Semogerere as they humbled Paidha Black Angels 2-0 at their Wankulukuku.
The Black Angels, who are struggling at the base of the table, suffered an early set back when Pascal Irasa was sent off in the 38th for receiving a second bookable caution inside ten minutes.
But despite the numerical advantage, the Red Eagles fans had to wait until the 68th minute to get their first.
Disan Galiwango, who later earned the man if the match award, was hacked inside the box with the referee Emmanuel Kiweewa pointing to the spot.
Tony Odur stood for the responsibility and planted it in. Odur had just replaced injured Ibrahim Kayiwa ten minutes earlier.
Michael Birungi, another second half replacement who came in for Mubarak Nsubuga, sealed the win with a goal from outside the box in the dying minutes.
The Red Eagles fly higher by two places to 9th with 31 as the Angels from Zombo sink deeper with the faintest of hopes.
