Six-time Uganda Premier League Champions Express FC has rehired Ibrahim Musa Kinaabi as their team doctor/ physiotherapist.
Kinaabi worked at Express under coach George Ssimwogerere in the 2019/2020 season before both fell out of favor.
According to the Sports Nation, Musa went against Ssimwogerere’s orders of clearing some of the players despite having medical issues, before the kickoff of the 2019/20 season.
The players who were allegedly not cleared include Magezi Abdulrazak (Heart problem), Jesse (hepatitis) and Edris Kaye.
Upon his appointment, Musa expressed his gratefulness for returning to the “Mukwano Gw’abangi” and expects to help the club achieve more in the upcoming season.
“I am happy to be back at the club, I feel there is a lot were going to achieve next season. With the players, we are already working out a good schedule, first nutrition is key and we hope to come out of the lockdown better,” Musa told the club website.

Meanwhile, club CEO Isaac Mwesigwa could not hide his happiness and confidence in the latest acquisition.
“In Musa, we have a very committed, hardworking personnel and we are sure our player’s health is in good hands,” he stated.
Last season, the Red Eagles finished the Uganda Premier League with 31 points in the 9th position.
