Express FC Hold Azam in Friendly Game

Express Football Club rallied from behind to hold Tanzanian giants Azam FC in a friendly game played on Sunday at Wankulukuku stadium.

Playing under Kefa Kisala who is in his second stint as Express FC head coach, the red eagles managed to hold Azam FC in their first major pre season build up game.

Azam FC took the lead in the 15th minute through Danny Lyanga but new recruit Ruben Matovu levelled matters in the second stanza.

Besides, Omar Hitmana, Shafik Nana Kakeeto and Mike Birungi, the rest of the players that started for Express FC were new recruits.

These included goalkeeper Fabian Mutombora, Badru Nsubuga and Charles Lubega, Herbert Katongole and Disan Galiwango among others.

This was Azam FC third friendly game in Uganda which is part of their pre season tour in Uganda.They first drew goalless against URA FC before losing 4-2 to KCCA FC.
