Equity Bank Uganda has on Thursday morning announced a partnership with Express FC. The deal signed at the bank’s head offices at Churchhouse in Kampala, is worth one hundred million shillings.
The deal was signed in the presence of new Club Chairperson Kiryowa Kiwanuka, Club’s CEO Hamza Jjunju, Equity’s Executive Director Anthony Kituuka.
“We are pleased to partner with a club that has a sting heritage and is committed to empowering communities through Sports development,” noted Kituuka.
The partnership sees an introduction of ‘Equity Express card’ that will be issued to club members and partners to access various services.
The card that will go for Ushs 50,000 will also be used to purchase tickets to watch all home matches.
Speaking on the new partnership, Club Chairman Kiwanuka said: “We have started our journey to recovery, and this is the first step.”
He added: “This is the partnership that has been weighed and it’s fitting.”
However, details about the breakdown of the Sh100M were not revealed to the press.
It is also believed that the club will unveil more sponsors in the coming weeks before the season starts.
