Business came to a standstill at Makindu Close, Kololo on Wednesday morning when President Yoweri Museveni made a surprise visit to Bukedea Woman Member of Parliament, Anita Among at Kampala Hospital Limited.
ChimpReports has learnt that Anita Among, an FDC member with special connections to Museveni, has already spent three days at the medical facility. She was admitted on Sunday evening with serious malaria and blood pressure complications according to sources.
Museveni’s convoy made an unanticipated entry to the hospital at exactly 11am according to a source at the hospital.
“We didn’t even hear sirens but saw several SUVs with SFC guards entering the hospital,” said a source.
Movements were restricted and Museveni emerged donning on a white shirt. He headed straight to the hospital bed of the hospitalized legislator. All relatives, visitors and medics were asked to leave the room.
Museveni then accessed the room and held a private discussion with Among for several minutes. The convoy left immediately after the private discussion.
The condition of Anita Among has significantly improved according to those who visited her before and after Museveni.
“She is doing better now. We expect her to be discharged any time,” said a source.
The Bukedea strong woman is known for handling “special” political assignments for Museveni and joined the president in many trips. She is participating in the South Sudan peace process with Lt. Gen. Proscovia Nalweyiso.
