Equity Bank Bonds with Media

Equity Bank organized a meet and greet affair with several media personalities on Friday at Atmosphere Lounge in Kololo.

The exquisite gathering that was meant to strengthen Equity Bank’s media relations was courtesy of the Bank’s Communications and Marketing manager, Phillip Otim.

“This is basically about us mingling with our brothers and sisters in the media, and appreciating the work they are doing,” Otim stated.

The ever-flamboyant communication guru went on to explain that his intentions were to bridge the gap between the media and the bank.

“We are here to get to know each other better, appreciate media for always being good to us, saying the truth about us and network,” he said.

During the beautifully arranged casual gathering that was characterized by huge bottles of rich bitter sweet drinks and finger-licking eats, guests seemed to have a night of a lifetime.

Patricia Biraro, the marketing officer at Equity Bank, said that they aimed at creating relationships with all media houses, bloggers and influencers.

“We also want media personalities to get to know us on a one on one basis; we are ready to answer any questions they have for us,” exclaimed Patricia in her soft voice.

The event was attended by numerous journalists from different media houses like; ChimpReports, Monitor, New Vision, NTV, Observer, and Xclusive among others.

“Contrary to what I expected am actually having fun, these people have been nice and hospitable us,” said Monitor’s Lawrence Ogwal with a mouthful of chicken.

The interactions between the bank’s staff and media got better with each passing hour; drinks were literally overflowing with serenade music in the background.
