Saturday, 22nd December 2018

A set of referees from Egypt will be in charge of the game between Uganda’s representatives in the CAF Champions League, Vipers SC and Algerian outfit CS Constantine.

Confederation of African Football (CAF) appointed a trio of match officials from Egypt to handle the game.

Vipers SC host CS Constantine at St. Mary’s stadium this Saturday seeking to overturn last week’s 1-0 loss in the first leg.

Amim Mohamed Omar will be the centre referee assisted by Mahmoud Ahmed Abo El Regal and Samir Gamal Saad and all from Egypt.

It should be noted that the same set of referees officiated Uganda’s home encounter against Lesotho during the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, a game the Cranes won 3-0 at Mandela National stadium.

Farouk Miya and Emmanuel Okwi(brace) scored for the Cranes in the game played on 13th October 2018.

Vipers SC will need to win at least by a 2-0 score to advance to the group stage.

They will come into the game high on confidence after a 3-1 win against BUL FC in the league on Wednesday.
