Fire Base fans can heave a sigh of relief; singer Bobi Wine is safe and sound.
Fans’ concerns were raised when reports emerged indicating that the ‘Kyarenga’ hit maker’s entourage was arrested and detained by police following their running battles in Jinja on Saturday night.
The singer was slated to headline a concert that featured performances from other singers like Bebe Cool, Gravity Omutujju, among others at City Hotel in Jinja but police told the organizers that he was not allowed to perform.
Immediately when Bobi and his entourage touched down in Jinja, the police raided the hotel where they were resting from and arrested members of his team though he managed to escape and returned to Kampala on Sunday.
Bobi Wine’s body guard Eddy Mutwe has come out to allay fans’ fears posting on social media that the singer cum politician is well and resting at his home in Magere.
“Good Morning Uganda. EMPOLOGOMA eri Magere ewumude”, Eddy posted on Facebook.
