The African Entertainment Awards, USA (AEAUSA) are held every year in New Jersey since their inception in 2015 and this year’s edition is scheduled for December 12.
The awards recognize Africans in the entertainment industry whose works have crossed borders.
Last year, Eddy Kenzo won the African Entertainer of the year award and this year, he has been nominated for three categories; Best Male Artiste, Entertainer of the year, Best Male Artiste East/South/north Africa and his song Tweyagale has been nominated for Song of the Year Award.
Sheebah Karungi has also been nominated thrice for the categories of Best Female Artiste East/South/America, Best Female artiste and Best Dancehall Artist.
Spice Diana, Rema Namakula, B2C entertainment have been nominated for the category of Best Female artiste East/South/North America, Best Female Artiste and Hottest Group respectively.
Daddy Andre, John Blaq, Ykee Benda, have all been nominated for the category of Best New Artiste.
Big Trill’s ‘Parte after Parte’ and Slick Stuart, DJ Roja and Allan Toniks’ ‘Sunday’ have both been nominated for Song of the year.
Triplets Ghetto kids and Masaka Kids Africana have been nominated for the category of Best Dancer/Group.
Patrick Salvador and Anne Kansiime have also scooped nominations in the Best African Comedian category.
Both Bebe Cool and Chameleon have been nominated for the Best Dancehall artist category.
NBS’ Douglas Lwanga also appears on the nomination list in the Best Host TV/Radio category.
Lastly, Anita Kalule and Levixone have been nominated for the category of Best Upcoming/Local artist and Best Gospel artist respectively.
