Star singer Eddy Kenzo real name Eddie Musuuza has finally come out to talk about the ongoing lyrical exchange with baby mama/girlfriend Rema Namakula.
Weeks back when Kenzo was in USA, Rema released a song titled ‘Siri Muyembe’ which many people believed was directed towards her baby daddy following allegations that he was cheating on her with another babe.
Days after Rema’s ‘Siri Muyembe’ was released, Kenzo released what was believed to be a response titled ‘Don’t Care’.
On Friday morning, 9 November, Kenzo opened up about the issue while appearing on NTV’s Mwasuze Mutya hosted by Faridah Nakazibwe.
Kenzo clarified that Rema’s song was not about him as many have claimed.
“I doubt she sang it for me. She released it when I was in America. I enjoyed it so much. It is a beautiful song.” Kenzo told Faridah.
He further denied singing for Rema ‘Don’t Care’ which many believed was his response to her ‘Siri Muyembe’.
“It wasn’t about Rema. These are songs for the people” Kenzo added.
The Big Talent boss however declined to comment on his current relationship with Rema claiming it is a sensitive topic although he insisted that they are fine.
When asked about when he intends to get married, Kenzo avoided giving a direct answer before saying he has to first build his empire for that his kids can have a happy future before thinking about marriage.
“I have no idea. I am still a poor man to think of marriage right now” Kenzo told Faridah.
The ‘Sitya Loss’ singer reasoned that, unlike other people, he has no backing of parents or grandparents considering that they all passed away and he has no idea of the whereabouts of those who could still be alive.
Kenzo however said that when the time is right for him to marry, he will unveil the woman though he didn’t mention Rema.
Kenzo also stated that he will not bow to pressure from people who want him to marry before requesting to be left alone so he can live his life.
