The Electoral Commission will today Wednesday, officially dispatch polling materials for presidential and Parliamentary elections to the districts, ahead of January 14th polls.
The pronouncement was made by the Electoral Commission spokesperson Paul Bukenya today morning.
“The Electoral Commission will officially flag off the dispatch of polling materials for presidential and parliamentary elections to the districts, today 6th January 2021 starting at 11am,” he stated.
Bukenya said, the exercise will take place at the Electoral Commission warehouse in Banda along Jinja road where electoral materials were kept after they landed into the country from where they printed.
The Commission on December 26, 2020, embarked on the exercise of parking polling materials for dispatch to the districts.
Uganda will go to the polls on January 14, this year to elect the next president and Members of Parliament.
11 candidates, including the incumbent Yoweri Museveni, are contesting for Uganda’s top job, the presidency.
