KCCA FC were pitted against Egyptian side Al Masry in the playoff round draws held in Cairo, http://cdcsmiles.com/wp-includes/class-wp-meta-query.php Egypt on Tuesday.
Team manager, Mike Hillary Mutebi is confident the team has gained enough exposure from the four games they have played in the champions league and will help KCCA FC go past Al Masry.
“I think it is a favourable draw for us but we are playing against an Egyptian side, their teams are never easy,” he told the club website.
“But I think we have gained momentum in the four games we have played in the champions league and that will help us” Mutebi added.
The manager indicates that if they keep focused and remain composed, KCCA FC can negotiate past Al Masry.
“If the players keep the momentum, remain focused and carry on with the belief they had, we can go past them. I don’t think Egyptian and Arabian teams of the past that would keep possession and play smartly are no more,” he said.
“If we can stick to our style of play, try to dominate possession and dictate play,to me I think it is a fair draw,” noted manager Mutebi.
KCCA FC will host the first leg on 8th April 2017 at Phillip Omondi stadium before the return leg in Egypt. The winner on aggregate will advance to the groups stage of the 2017 Total CAF confederation cup.
