There was drama on Thursday at the Aswa Regional Police Offices in Gulu as Police CID officers in both uniform and plain cloths arrested yet another suspect in the 2018 election violence in Arua.
The suspect, now in police custody has been identified as Musa Ssenyange, who police believes was the driver of a grader that was allegedly used to block the motorcade of President Museveni during the Arua Municipality By-election fracas in August 2018.
Ssenyange was picked by the police officers today, from a crowd of People Power supporters who had gathered at the Gulu court for the mention of this very case, where dozens of other suspects including members of parliament face treason charges.
He was brutally arrested and stuffed in a waiting private vehicle number UBE 128F and driven off.
Some of the People Power supporters attempted to fight and rescue their colleague but were outgunned by the police officers.
The hearing of the main case has been adjourned to July 4th.
