The Director of Public Prosecution Mike Chibita has asked all court officials and prosecutors who have been revealed in the ongoing investigative stories by Vision group to embrace plea bargaining early enough before they are paraded before court
Chibita told press that both court officials and his staff don’t work under the most favorable conditions, but shouldn’t use it as an excuse to engage in un professional behaviors
“We have asked the Director CID to do all the necessary investigations to compile evidence that will be used against the culprits in courts of law”
He added that his office has asked the judiciary not to allow idle people around court premises who end up acting as middle men in bribing court officials.
In compiling evidence that will be used in prosecuting the culprits, the DPP asked journalist to coordinate with his office as he promised not to publicize them as sources of that information
