Outgoing Kabale District Police Commander SP Dickens Bindeba last weekend treated his colleagues and friends to an emotional dinner as he bade them farewell in Kabale town.
Bindeeba is among the police officers that were last week transferred in a mini reshuffle made by Inspector General of Police Martins Okoth Ochola
The DPC had served in Kabale since 2016.
He was transferred to Bushenyi district as the new DPC, and replaced by Godfrey Kahebwa from Soroti.
Speaking on Sunday during the farewell party at Manhattan Hotel, Kabale district Chairman Patrick Besigye Keihwa asked all police officers to be professional and lead by example, if they are to accomplish their task of improving security in the country.
“As police there is need for high degree of integrity, discipline, professionalism, and respect for diversity so that whatever you do reflects the good image of police officers,” said Keihwa.
The district chairman commended Bindeba for the good working relationship with the Kabale district leadership and for being an exemplary commander to other security officers in Kigezi region.
