Striker Samuel Sekamatte Kayongo Junior has joined Uganda Premier League side Bright Stars Football Club.
Sekamatte becomes the first acquisition made by the Stars as the club embarks on strengthening it’s squad prior to a upcoming 2020/2021 season.
Before this move, Kayongo has been exhibiting his talent at Zambian Premier League side Red Arrows FC. He now joins Bright Stars on a one-year contract.
He also previously had stints with KCCA Football Club, Masaka Local Council, Sports Club Victoria University and Kira Young FC.
The development comes when Bright Stars is Coach-less following the departure of Paul Kiwanuka who reunited with Fred Kajoba at Vipers SC.
However, different applicants have expressed interest in the vacant head coach position at the club with former Wakiso Giants tactician, Kefa Kisala reportedly leading the race.
