KCCA FC registered a comfortable win against Tanzanian outfit Mtibwa Sugar in the first leg of the first round of the CAF Confederation Cup played at StarTimes stadium on Saturday.

Despite failing to find the breakthrough in the first stanza, KCCA FC who were dominant eventually became effective in the second half to win 3-0.

Allan Kyambadde, Patrick Kaddu and Allan Okello scored a goal each to guide the Kasasiro Boys to victory.

KCCA FC began the game like a house on fire in search for an early goal but this did not come with the players missing several chances.

Okello had the first attempt at goal in the 4ty minute which was easily collected by goalkeeper Shaaban Shaaban.

Kyambadde too came close after a quick exchange with Okello but he shot direct into the hands of the goalkeeper with Mtibwa back line totally beaten.

At the quarter hour mark, Kaddu and Kyambadde once again failed to score missing in quick succession.

Kaddu initially tried to lobe the ball over the goalkeeper but the latter had a hand on the ball. Kyambadde failed to score on the rebound.

There were more chances for the home side but still failed to score.

On the other hand, Mtibwa had the their first attempt at goal in the 38th minute but Jafari Kibaya was unlucky with his ferocious strike ricocheting off the crossbar.

KCCA FC began the second half similarly to what they had done earlier and the constant pressure eventually yielded fruits.

Kyambadde broke the deadlock in the 48th minute with his thunderbolt going past goalkeeper Shaaban who attempted to save.

The first change of the game saw Gift Ali pave way for Muzamir Mutyaba at the hour mark. The visitors too brought on Salum Khimbwa for Haruni Chanongo.

The second goal came in the 74th minute with Kyambadde doing the donkey work on the right flank before teeing up Kaddu who headed home.Immediately after scoring he was withdrawn and replaced by Muwadda Mawejje.

With five minutes on the clock, Okello put the icing on the cake, scoring his trademark goal when he cut from the right flank before curling home at the far post.

The result means KCCA FC carry a 3-0 advantage ahead of the return leg on Saturday next week in Dar es Salaam.
