
Results from the DNA test run on a charred body found dumped in Kajjansi have confirmed the fears of family members of Francis Ekalunga who was working with Case Clinic in Kampala.
Ekulanga, who was the chief accountant at the health facility, went missing on Tuesday after retiring from work.
Police on being notified of the disppearence mounted a search until a burnt body was found in Lumuli, Kajjansi on Wednesday morning.
Some family members on being called, confirmed that it was Ekulang, while others were doubtful, which compelled police to run tests.
On Friday afternoon, Kampala metropolitan police spokesperson Luke Owoyesigire confirmed that the results had turned out positive.
“Samples were submitted to GAL, yesterday and the DNA report has confirmed the burnt body belongs to the deceased,” he said.
