A 50 year old primary school director in Rukungiri district has committed suicide following the closure of his school.

The school was among the 191 schools shut down on Tuesday for lack of basic standards.

“He came back from Rukungiri town and told me his bank account details which he had never told me, and gave me all his account books and other documents. He looked fine, before leaving for the trading center,” said the widow.
The deceased left a suicide note in his pocket that read, “Burry me in P7 class”.
Elly Maate the Kigezi regional police spokesman says that police has commenced investigations into the matter.
