Denis Nzeirwe, the Kyankwanzi district deputy RDC has donated 200 litres of milk, 550 kilograms of maize flour and 19 bunches of matooke to help feed the sick in hospitals in his home district of Kabale.
Nzeirwe who is also the former Kamuganguzi sub county LCIII chairman in Kabale handed over the items to the Kabale District Corona Virus Task Force led by RDC Darius Nandinda at the district headquarters.
The food items are meant to help feed the sick in hospitals like Kabale Regional referral hospital, Rugarama hospital and Rushooroza hospital.
They will be handed out to expectant mother and sick children.
Nzeirwe says that he decided make this donation after hearing cries of some people asking the task district force to provide them with relief food.
Patrick Besigye Keihwa, the Kabale LC5 chairman welcomed the donation and called on more people to give out with such support to the people that have been stripped of their income due to the coronavirus national shut down measures.
Darius Nandinda, the Kabale RDC thanked Nzeirwe for the kind heart and for remembering his people despite being deployed in another district.
