Kenya win by wickets
Uganda lost their second game at the ongoing ICC Cricket World division three in Oman.
The Cricket Cranes lost to Kenya by 6 wickets with 25 balls to spare.
Uganda who won the toss, chose to bat first but the neighbors fielded well as they limited Uganda’s batsmen to 177 runs.
Dinesh Nakrani hit a half ton off 71 balls before he was caught by NK Patel. Charles Waiswa and Brian Masaba hit 22 and 21 runs respectively.
Needing just 178 runs from 50 overs, Kenya managed to chase down the target to pick their first victory of the season.
IA Kharim and NM Odhiambo scored 59 and 53 runs in that order as the side put up a determined performance.
Despite the victory, Kenya remains second from the bottom. Uganda are fourth after three games.
Uganda’s allrounder Irfan Afridi was suspended from bowling in international cricket with immediate effect after his bowling action was found illegal following video analysis taken at ICC WCL Division Three in Oman.
