The Uganda Ladies football team (Crested Cranes) have safely arrived in Kenya ahead of the encounter against Kenya Starlets in the 2019 Africa Women Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The team that set off from Uganda on Sunday afternoon touched base in Machakos, Kenya on Monday morning as confirmed by the FUFA spokesperson Ahmed Hussein.
“The team has safely arrived in Kenya ahead of the game on Wednesday.” He confirmed.
The contingent of 30 players including 20 players and 10 officials camped at Garden Hotel In Machakos.
The Crested Cranes will play Kenya in the 1st Leg of the preliminary round before the return leg on Sunday at Startimes stadium.
The winner on aggregate will advance to the next stage from which the final eight teams inncluding hosts Ghana will be determined.
The final tournament is slated for November 17th – 1st December 2018.
The tournament also doubles as the African qualifiers to the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup. The top three teams will qualify for the World Cup in France.
