Uganda Cranes star Roy Jayden Onen has officially joined English Championship club Reading Football Club U-23 team.
The development comes two months after Onen was released by another English championship in club Brentord B (July) following his contract expiration.
The 19-year old Ugandan who is partially a Briton, started his career at Arsenal Youth team until November 2017. He also played for Brighton & Hove Albion U-18 team in the 2017/2018 season.
At Brentford, he made 30 appearances and scored only three goals.
The offensive midfielder was part of Uganda Cranes provisional squad summoned by Johnathan Mckinstry ahead of South Sudan before the Coronavirus outbreak halted the Qualifiers.
Onen will feature for Reading FC reserve team in the 2020/2021 season as the senior technical team assesses his progress.
