Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan has renewed his stay at Kenyan Premier League outfit AFC Leopards for another year.
Ochan’s contract had expired at the end of the previous 2019/2020 season, a campaign in which he had kept 13 clean sheets in 22 matches before the league was prematurely ended due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The shot stopper joined AFC Leopards from Zambia Premier League entity Kabwe Warriors last year in July.
He started his career at Entebbe Young Football Academy before joining Kampala Kids League (KKL). He also had a short stint at Danish club AGF Aarhus in 2007.
Ochan later played for KCCA FC, Premier Soccer League side Bloemfontein Celtic (South Africa), and local clubs Sports Club Villa, Sports Club Victoria University and Kabwe Warriors.
Since his national team debut in 2013 against Egypt, he has made 17 appearances for the Uganda Cranes, notably featuring in two African Nations Championships in South Africa (2014) and Morocco (2018).
