Ugandan goalkeeper Brian Bwete Zigi has been officially unveiled at Ethiopian top-flight league side, Shire Indaselassie Football Club (also known as Sehul Shire).
Bwete joins Sehule Shire as a free agent after running out of contract with FAZ Zambian Premier League outfit Mufulira Wanderers at the end of 2019/20 season.
He previously featured for Sports Club Villa, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA FC), Lweza FC, Bidco Uganda Limited (BUL FC), and CD Bukavu Dawa in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Last season, Shire Indaselassie was home to Ugandan midfielder Yasser Mugerwa who has since switched to Sidama Bunna FC in the same league.
Other Ugandans that have in the past played in the Ethiopian premier league include Denis Masinde Onyango, Robert Odongkara, Posnet Omony, Hannington Kalyesubula, Ismail Watenga, Savio Kabugo, among others.
Shire Indaselassie, founded in 2012, finished 6th on the table last season by the time the League was prematurely ended due to the COVID-19 Pandemic
