Cranes Coach Mubiru to Pursue UEFA ‘A’ Coaching License

Elated Police Football Club tactician and Uganda Cranes assistant coach Abdallah Mubiru will persue a UEFA ‘A’ License Coaching Course in a bid to elevate his status and certification.

Mubiru is to undergo the course with the Northern Ireland Football Association with recommendation of Uganda Cranes head coach Johnathan McKinstry.

The new development will look to strengthen the working relationship between the Northern Ireland Football Association and the Federation of Uganda Football Associations.

It will also help to build more capacity in local coaches and the former KCCA and Vipers SC coach will be the first beneficiary.

However, Mubiru will need to raise a total of Nine thousand dollars (USD 9000) for the 18 month course scheduled to start at the climax of the pandemic COVID-19.

If successful, Mubiru will be the second Ugandan coach to undergo the UEFA ‘A’ Coaching Course after former Proline FC coach Shafik Bisaso.

Bisaso who parted ways with Proline last year in October is currently undertaking an FA level 4 (UEFA A) football coaching course in London since the start of the year.

The FA level 4 (UEFA A) coaching course is the fourth level within English football’s coaching pathway and is the highest practical coaching course.

Before Bisaso’s departure, he guided Proline to the 2018-2019 FUFA Big League Championship and also won the Stanbic Uganda Cup in the same season.
