COVID19: Central Motor Club Donates Relief Food to the Cause

Central Motor Club, a member of the 15 Motorsports Clubs in the Federation of Motorsport Clubs of Uganda (FMU) on Wednesday joined the list of corporate companies to donate relief food items for the vulnerable families during the extended counrty lockdown.

The Club donated One Million shillings to FMU’s Emergency Response Ambulance Initiative and and food items including Posho (400Kgs), Beans (205 Kgs), Rice (150Kgs) and Soap (500 Bars).

The items were received by the cabinet minister in charge of General Duties in the Office of the Prime Minister and head of the fundraising task force, Mary Okurut Karoro.

Central Motor Club Vice President Kakeeto Saeed Ali who handed over the donation noted that the club is well aware that there are many people who are starving and that it is a privilege to lend a hand.

“We feel proud that we have contributed this and encourage other sports organisations to get involved and help vulnerable Ugandans who are in need of food during this lockdown,” he said.

The club joins Uganda Boxing Federation, and SOM Chess Academy as other sports entities that have responded to the cause and come out to help some of worst hit communities.
