Individuals who have been fully vaccinated can now access their vaccination certificates online, the Health Ministry has said.
At the point of vaccination, one is issued with a vaccination card which indicates the batch of the vaccine one has got for the first and second dose. It also captures the National Identification Number (NIN).
The certificate is offered upon completion of full vaccination; two weeks after the second dose.
Speaking to journalists at the Uganda Media Centre on Thursday, Emmanuel Ainebyoona, the Ministry of Health senior public relations officer said, “currently, we have an e-portal for the vaccination certificates for those who might need them for international travel at https://epivac.health.go.ug/certificates/#/).”
“The platform will enable you, once you put in your details, to access your covid-19 vaccination certificate which is an indication that you have received the two doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine and also subsequently the other vaccine types we will be using,” Ainebyoona added.
He noted that the data teams will continuously update this database for individuals who have received a second dose.
