City Hall Grade One Magistrate Valerian Tuhimbise has ordered Political Commentator Charles Rwomushana to prepare his defence on allegations of disobedience of Presidential Directives on curfew.
This followed the findings made by the Magistrate that according to the evidence which was produced by the three prosecution witnesses, Rwomushana has a case to answer.
Rwomushana was given three options with in which he can defend himself, whereby he can be given evidence on oath subjected to cross examination, opting to Keep silent as well as given unsworn evidence and he is not subjected to cross examination.
He will be expected to appear again in court on December 9, 2020, to commence with defense hearing.
Rwomushana was arrested in July as he left NBS Television studios where he had just appeared with other panelists on one of their weekly political talk shows.
Prosecution contends that Romushana, on 29th July 2020, at around 1 am in Kamwokya, Kampala district, disobeyed presidential directives when he was found driving past curfew hours as he left NBS Television.
