High court Deputy Registrar Alex Ajiji has fixed April 25th as the commencement date for the hearing of the matter where former Defense counsel Maj. Ronald Iduuli is seeking a compensation over forceful retirement from the army.

In this matter civil suit number 161 of 2017, Maj. Idulli dragged to court the UPDF (through the Attorney General) his former bosses Maj. Gen J.B Musanyufu and Col Dr Godard Busingye for dismissing him from the office of Defense counsel without offering him a fair hearing as required by law as well as informing the appointing authority.
Maj. Gen J.B Musanyufu was the chief of personnel and administration/secretary of Commissions Board before being appointed Joint Chief of Staff while Col Dr Godard Busingye is the current Deputy Chief Legal services of UPDF.
Major Iduuli is also challenging the respondent’s acts of filling his retirement forms without his knowledge yet he didn’t fall in any of the three categories for retirement as stated in the UPDF Act.
He further says that since his retirement, he has never received his emoluments and retirement package as stated by the law.
