COSAFA: Uganda Is In It For The Title, Says Mutyaba

Uganda Cranes –Cosafa squad- assistant captain Muzamir Mutyaba is upbeat that the team will emerge champions of the 2019 Cosafa championship going on in Durban, South Africa.

Uganda received a bye to the quarter finals where they will face Lesotho on Saturday.

Though the team was invited as a guest, Mutyaba believes that they are well-prepared for the tournament and will not only participate but push for the ultimate prize.

“We are not here (South Africa) to participate but to push hard and win the championship,” the stylish KCCA FC midfielder boldly stated.

“We have prepared very well for about two weeks. The moral is high and everyone is pushing hard to win the tournament. We are here to compete and not only to participate. We are taking this chance very seriously and ready to give all,” Mutyaba further emphasized.

The team led by coaches Abdallah Mubiru and Livingstone Mbabazi, is gearing up for the Africa Nations Championships (CHAN) first round qualifier against South Sudan in July.
