Uganda Hippos will make a date with Lesotho in the semifinals at the ongoing COSAFA U20 Championship in Zambia.
The development comes after Lesotho booked a slot into the last four on Tuesday evening after a goalless draw against Angola at Nkana stadium.
The result meant the South African side finished on five points same as Zimbabwe but with a better goal difference.
This means they face Uganda Hippos who topped Group A on five points while South Africa who finished top in group B face off with Egypt.
The two sides faced off in the group stage and South Africa defeated Egypt 1-0.
The Hippos will have a timely boost with the return of skipper Muhammad Shaban from suspension.
The KCCA FC lethal forward who has so far scored three goals in the tournament missed Uganda’s last group game against Malawi after receiving marching orders in the game against Swaziland.
However, there are still concerns about the fitness of defender Fred Okot who also missed the game against Malawi.
The semifinal games will be played on Thursday at Nkana stadium in Kitwe while the finala will come on Saturday.
