More players are continuing to pave way for possible signings at Uganda Premier League outfit KCCA Football Club as next season prepare to get underway.
The 2018/2019 UPL champions have confirmed the departure of another player in midfielder Lawrence Bukenya.
The development was confirmed by KCCA FC head of communications Moses Magero Mwanje on Sunday night during the club’s weekly TV show.
The KCCA FC Soccer Academy graduate gained promotion to the senior team in 2017 and helped the Kasassiro Boys win two league titles.
He spent last season on loan to Wakiso Giants and is expected to sign a permanent deal with the Purple Sharks following successful personal talks.
Bukenya join Erisa Ssekisambu, Jackson Nunda (URA), Saddam Juma, Tom Ikara (Police), Eric Ssenjobe (Police), Jamil Malyamungu, Mike Mutyaba (retired) and Mustafa Kizza (Montreal Impact) as other players that have left the club in this window.
The club has replaced the departures with new faces in Andrew Kawooya, Moses Kalanzi, Juma Balinya, Dominic Ayella (Promoted), Samson Kigozi, Brian Aheebwa, Bright Anukani, Denis Iguma, Stefano Mazengo Loro, Charles Lwanga and Ashraf Mugume.
